After a perfectly observed minute silence to mark Remembrance Sunday, Barkingside came from behind twice to secure a hard fought draw against Elite Pro Sports.

After falling behind early the light blues equalised courtesy of a Benji cracker from an Alfie flick on.

The opposition retook the lead after some defensive hesitancy and looked like they might march on to victory but Lucas had other ideas. Picking up the ball on the left hand side, he cut inside and unleashed an unstoppable shot from 20 yards that dipped over the keeper and drew gasps from the crowd.

Barkingside defended deep for much of the remainder of the match but kept Elite at bay with Lewis called into action just once with a smart stop. Another gritty performance in a season that continues to impress. 👏 ⭐
