Tough Match for the U11's

The U11's had a tough match against one of the top teams in the league - Ultra. This is the second time they've played this season and, although losing the match, they showed a huge amount of resilience and fight right to the end of the match.

It started fairly evenly with both goal keepers having to make good saves early on. Barkingside unfortunately conceded after about 15 minutes when a rebound landed in the path of one of Ultra's strikers. Barkingside didn't let that deter them though and kept pressing for an opening, being denied by some rather dubious assistant refereeing, and excellent defending by Ultra.
