A Game of Two Halves

Barkingside battled back valiantly to secure a draw with a tough Pro Star Elite team. After an even start and riding some very physical challenges, the light blues found themselves 2-0 down following some excellent play by their opponents. Despite battling their way back into the match and knocking at the door it stayed that way at the break.

The second half was a different story with player of the match Ronnie pulling the strings throughout. After a great team move Ronnie set up Alfie to halve the deficit by smashing home into the roof of the net. It was soon all square when Benji's shot wriggled under their keeper. We got an end to end finale with Lewis saving well and Savanyah making a goal saving tackle at one end and Alfie unlucky to see his penalty saved and Benji firing just wide at the other.
